Janet’s Legacy

We’ve added a new Artisan to the team – but this one is a little different.

I will introduce you to Janet first and then I’m going to share with you how special she and her contribution to Buddhas & Butterflies is.

All our Artisans are special to us but Janet is special because she’s in Spirit and had to creatively find her way into our shop and our hearts.

Janet Vienneau was a free spirit.

She was always a giver, never a taker, and always had your back. She was a great believer in physical & spiritual health, and the power of gems and stones for well being. Janet wanted to share this power of the gems with the world. Her intentions where good but time was not on her side.

Janet will be so happy that her legacy will go on and still be available to the world. (Bio courtesy of Janet’s family)

Janet’s sister and I met at our location and it was our crystals that caught her attention. She showed me a few rings she was wearing (from Janet’s collection) and asked me what I thought of them. I thought they were stunning. I learned that there was a very large assortment of precious and semi-precious jewelry that Janet had left behind and was overwhelming the family. We made arrangements to visit and preview the collection.

It was overwhelming – the sheer volume of pieces and the quality of them! The whole time we were looking, the strong scent of perfume wafted in and out.

So we acquired them from Janet’s sister and will be continuing Janet’s Legacy by adding them to our store. There are so many beautiful pieces in a variety of styles and it’s going to take us some time to add them to our inventory but we’re honored Janet chose us.

As part of Janet’s Legacy, Buddhas & Butterflies is honored to present her collection to the world and to continue her dream. A percentage from the sales of her collection will be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of her name, her family, and her legacy.
